To the editor: "Life, for me, is what happens in the everyday world." So said a letter to the editor dated November 10, 2018. The writer went on to explain his view; that "life does not begin when a sperm fertilizes an egg, that abortion is not the taking of a human life." I beg to differ. If abortion is not the taking of a human life, why is it considered murder if a pregnant woman is killed? Why is it ok for a woman to procure an abortion, but should she give birth naturally, then kill the newborn, it becomes murder?
