Brad Gibson is one of eight to be inducted into the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association David Bartelma Wrestling Hall of Fame, announced by the coaches association Thursday, March 14.

Gibson graduated from Chokio-Alberta High School in 1989 where he was a four-time letter winner, three-time state place winner and two-time state champion. He went on to wrestle for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers where he was a two-time NCAA Division I All-American his junior and senior seasons in 1993 and 1994.

He is currently involved with the Morris Area / Hancock / Chokio-Alberta wrestling program, with the youth program and as a varsity assistant coach.

The Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association David Bartelma Wrestling Hall of Fame induction dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, at McKinney’s on Southside, in Benson.
