The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta boys track and field team have yet to lose an outdoor meet this season after claiming its third straight first place team finish at the Benson Invite Tuesday, April 23, in Benson. The Tiger boys finished with a season high score of 204.5 points paced by nine first-place finishes, including sweeping all four relays for the second straight meet.

The Tiger girls finished runner-up to Minnewaska for the third straight meet, finishing with a new season high team score of 151 points. The MACA girls had four first-place finishes, including the 4x100-meter relay.

Kaylie Raths and Olivia Lebrija provided a 1-2 punch in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 17.16 and 17.43, respectively.

Maddie Carrington finished with a season best 5:37.61 to claim the top spot in the 1600-meter run.

Claire Reed won the pole vault with a new season best mark of 8-0.

Nathan Beyer took first in the 200-meter dash with a new season best time of 23.59. He also had a second-place showing the shot put with a best mark of 41-09.25.

Abram Schmidgall had a season best time of 54.22 to win the 400-meter dash. He also finished sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.58.

Jaden Maanum claimed the 800-meter run in 2:05.02. He runs anchor for the 4x800-meter relay that bested the field by over 28 seconds.

Noah Stewart had the top time in the one mile run. He topped the field by over 30 seconds with a time of 4:40.73.

Kenny Soderberg finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.99. He also took second in the 300-meter hurdles with a new season best time of 42.84.

The Tigers close out this week Friday, April 26, in Sisseton then travel to Wahpeton next Tuesday, April 30 and New London-Spicer Thursday, May 2.
