Track and Field: Owls compete at Marv Meyer
The Hancock Owl track and field teams competed at the Marv Meyer Invite Tuesday, April 9, in Morris. The Owls had four top-five finishes on the day.
Jordan Hausmann had a fourth-place finish in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:08.03.
John Kellenberger finished fourth in the boys 400 dash with a time of 56.46.
The girls 4x200-meter relay of Jenna Kannegiesser, Eva Schaefer, Cora Millette, and Hausmann took fourth with a time of 2:02.36. Head coach Scott Thompson said he looks forward to seeing how this relay improves as the season goes on.
"We have about six girls that are right there," Thompson said of the potential runners for the girls 4x200-meter relay. "It'll be exciting to see what they can do this season."
The boys 4x100-meter relay had a fifth-place finish. The foursome of Tyler Timmerman, Luke Joos, Isaac Nienhaus and Kellenberger finished in 49.2 seconds.
The Owls are next set to compete at the Tiger Invite Tuesday, April 16, in Morris.
