Tigers earn No. 1 seed in Section 3AA-North

The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta softball team closed out the regular season 18-1 and earned the No. 1 seed in Section 3AA-North playoffs. The Tigers beat New London-Spicer, Benson twice, Minnewaska and Browerville to close out the regular season last week.

The Tigers will open the postseason against No. 8 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Holmberg Field in Morris. With a win, MACA will then play the winner of No. 4 West Central Area and No. 5 Minnewaska at 6 p.m.

Dassel-Cokato earned the No. 2 spot in Section 3AA-North. D-C will host No. 7 Montevideo and No. 3 Litchfield will play No. 6 New London-Spicer on Tuesday.

The two 2-0 teams will then play each other at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, at the Marshall Softball Complex in Marshall.
