Tiger eighth grader wins West Central Conference in debut season

In his first season on varsity, eighth-grader Charlie Hanson won the West Central Conference after finishing in a tie for second and tie for third at Benson Wednesday, May 12.

“Charlie is an incredibly talented and mature eighth grader. To win the conference at that age in his first varsity season is an outstanding feat,” Tiger boys coach Joey Fragodt said. “He played solid and steady all season, and his work ethic is unmatched. I’m very proud of him. I know Charlie will continue to work hard, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in the future.”

In the 18-hole round at Benson, Hanson had two birdies and nine pars for a two-round total of 78.
