Softball: Marty named All-State Second Team

Bailey Marty

After being named MVP of the West Central Conference for softball in early June, senior Bailey Marty added another postseason accolade after being named to the Class AA All-State Second Team announced recently.

Marty hit .537 in conference play with an on-base percentage of .667, both team-bests. She also tallied 14 stolen bases, most on the team. Defensively, she had 23 putouts and 21 assists with just four errors at shortstop.

“Bailey is such a versatile player and solid in all aspects of the game,” Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta head coach Mary Holmberg said when it was announced that she received MVP honors from the conference.
