The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) released its 2019 softball award recipients with three Minnesota Morris student-athletes honored Monday, May 6.

For the Cougar softball team, Emily Nordquist was named First Team All-UMAC, Kallie Wycoff was tabbed with All-UMAC Honorable Mention honors and Madison Kugler-Hoekstra represented Minnesota Morris on the Sportsmanship Award list.

Nordquist, a senior, started 28 games in the Cougar outfield during the 2019 season. On the year, she hit .381, recorded 32 hits, which included four doubles and one triple. Along with her 32 hits, Nordquist recorded 11 RBI, drew six walks, and stole seven bases. With her First All-UMAC honor Monday, Nordquist is the first Cougar since Alex Anderson in 2016 to receive the plaudit.

Wycoff, a second baseman, started 35 games for the Cougars during her junior year. In 2019, she hit .374, was tied for the team lead in hits with 46, ranked second on the team in doubles with 11, and recorded 25 RBI.

Kugler-Hoekstra, a sophomore catcher/third basemen, played in 11 games for the Cougars during the 2019 campaign.
