Six Pheasant Conference titles for Hancock

  • The 4×100-meter relay of Jenna Kannegiesser, Eva Schaefer, Cora Millette and Karleigh Rohloff were conference champions.
  • The 4×1 relay of Sebastian Felix, Luke Joos, David Milander and Sean Wilson won the conference title.
  • Jared Koehl won the triple jump event.
Conference champions for Hancock track and field

The Hancock Owl track and field teams had two conference champion relays and four individual event champions at the Pheasant Conference meet Thursday, May 13, in Wheaton. Both teams finished in third overall.

“Third place as a team for both teams and super close to second… While it doesn’t feel quite as good as first place, it does feel awesome to be competitive for both boys and girls, and I am really proud of all of the athletes,” Owl coach Kalee Nuest sa

Luke Joos recorded a five-foot personal best of 36-0.5 in the shot put to earn the conference title in the event. Jared Koehl had a three-foot personal best in the triple jump, recording a 40-1 distance to earn the conference title.

The girls 4×100-meter relay of Karleigh Rohloff, Eva Schaefer, Cora Millette and Kannegiesser clocked a 55.92 for first place. The boys 4×100-meter relay of Joos, Sebastian Felix, David Milander and Sean Wilson finished as conference champions with a 48.08.
