Owl starts fast, finishes against Verndale

Hancock senior quarterback Preston Rohloff was a busy man under center against Verndale Friday, Oct. 23, at Big Cat Stadium in Morris. Rohloff threw for 416 yards and five touchdowns en route to a 48-14 win over the Pirates.

Three receivers had over 100 yards on the day. Brandon Kellenberger had four catches for a team-high 171 yards. He had TD strikes of 55 and 85 yards. Junior Luke Joos had five catches for 110 yards. Junior Matt Thompson had just three catches, all ending in the endzone, for 109 yards. He hauled in touchdown strikes of 89 and 14 in the first half and a third quarter score from six yards.
