The University of Minnesota Morris men’s basketball program has announced the hiring of Taylor Holleman as a full-time assistant coach with the Cougar program after joining the staff last season.
A 2018 graduate of Minnesota Morris, Holleman was a member of the men’s basketball team for one season while competing on the gridiron for the Cougars from 2014-17.
Holleman has extensive coaching experience in the past few years, working as an assistant coach down the road at Hancock High School and helping the Owls to 101 wins in a five-year span. He has also been an AAU coach for the West Central Wildcats. He gained his first college head coaching position this past year, working with the Cougar men’s basketball program during the shortened 2021 season.
“I am very excited to have Taylor on staff with Cougar Basketball,” said Head Men’s Basketball Coach Paul Grove. “He brings a great deal of knowledge with his experience at the high school level and AAU basketball. Taylor is a basketball junkie and has been training for this his whole life.”
The 2021-22 men’s basketball season is rapidly approaching and schedules for winter athletic events will be finalized in the coming weeks.
