The Morris Eagle amateur baseball team advanced in the winner’s bracket of the Region 9C tournament after their third straight win of the Region 9C tournament. The Eagles beat Dumont 5-2 and will play Ortonville Sunday, Aug. 9, in Rosen.
Hancock was eliminated by Madison on Saturday, Aug. 1 and finished the year 5-6 overall.
Chokio also lost to Ortonville 2-1, but will continue playoffs in the elimination bracket against Minneota next Saturday, Aug. 8, in Rosen.
