Boys Basketball: Three Tigers earn all-conference honor

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boys basketball team had two seniors and a freshman earn all-conference announced by the West Central Conference recently. Freshman Jackson Loge was named all-conference for the first time. Senior Jaret Johnson earned his second consecutive all-conference honor while classmate Camden Arndt earned his third all-conference award of his basketball career.

Loge averaged a double-double this season with 17.8 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, leading MACA in both categories. He also averaged 2.6 assists (third best), 0.8 steals (third best) and also led in blocks per game with 2.9. Through two seasons, he has scored 745 points.

Johnson averaged 15.6 points (second best), 2.9 assists (second best), 5.4 rebounds (third best), 0.8 blocks (second best) and led in steals per game with 1.3. In his three seasons on varsity, Johnson ended his career with 1,095 points.

Through 25 games, Arndt averaged 13.7 points (third best), 6.1 rebounds (second best) and led the team in assists per game with 4.3. He finished his four-year career with 1,176 points.

The Tigers finished fourth overall in the conference with an 8-6 conference record. MACA ended the season 18-9 overall and graduate seven seniors off the roster this spring, including Arndt, Johnson, Zach Hughes, Joseph Kleinwolterink, Kevin Asfeld, Mace Yellow and Micah Aanerud.
