Hancock bounced back from a loss on Saturday with a 72-63 victory over Section 6A opponent Ashby on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Ashby. Hancock held a 36-29 lead at the break en route to its 16th win of the season.

Bennett Nienhaus led a quartet of Owls in double figures with 23 points along with seven steals. Connor Reese (16), Cole Reese (11) and Daniel Milander (11) also finished in double figures. Peyton Rohloff was on the edge of a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.

The Owls, who have won 7 of their last 10 games, next travel to CGB Thursday, Feb. 21 before closing out the week at Renville County West Friday, Feb. 22.

In the current Section 6A standings, Hancock is No. 3 in 6A-South, just slightly behind No. 2 Parkers Praire. Ortonville holds the top spot in the subsetion with 99.2 QRF points and ranking of No. 14 in Class A.
