The Hancock boys basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend with a Pheasant Conference win over Clinton-Graceville-Beardlsey Friday, Jan. 18, in Hancock, and a non-conference loss to Central Minnesota Christian School Saturday, Jan. 19, in Prinsburg.

The Owls, now 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the Pheasant Conference, travel to Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (4-9) for a conference game Thursday, Jan. 24 then close out the week with a non-conference game against Lac qui Parle Valley (9-5) Friday, Jan. 25, in Hancock.

Peter Martin scored 26 points and Case Mulder added 21 points to help Central Minnesota Christian to a 66-55 win over Hancock Saturday, Jan. 19, in Prinsburg.

Martin knocked down four triples and grabbed nine boards to lead the Bluejays, who held a five-point lead at halftime.

Bennett Nienhaus scored 18 points for Hancock and snagged nine rebounds. Peyton Rohloff also grabbed nine rebounds. Cole and Connor Reese dished out four assists each.

Bennett Nienhaus scored 18 points and Cole Reese added 12 as Hancock romped over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley in a Pheasant Conference game 57-38 on Friday, Jan. 18, in Hancock. The Owls had an eight-point halftime lead at 22-14 and outscored the Wolverines 35-24 in the second half to cruise 

Nienhaus also had six rebounds and Cole Reese had four assists. Connor Reese had nine points, and Daniel Milander had eight points and five steals.
