The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger boys basketball team played two games to start the 2018-2018 season and the games couldn't have been more opposite. In the season opener Friday, Nov. 30, in Ortonville, the Tigers jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back, winning 64-57. In the Tigers' home opener on Tuesday, Dec. 4, the Falcons of ACGC jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held the momentum throughout, taking the win over the Tigers 59-54.

The Tigers, now 1-1, look to bounce back on the road against a tough BOLD squad Friday, Dec. 7, in Olivia. The Warriors are 2-0 to start the season. They are averaging 77.5 points per game and beating their opponents by an average of 29 points.

Morris/C-A 64, Ortonville 57

Jaret Johnson knocked down five of his six 3-point shots as he scored 29 points and collected nine rebounds for a Morris/Chokio-Alberta victory against Ortonville.

Camden Arndt finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and six helpers to complement Johnson and Jackson Loge, who added 16 points, seven boards and four assists.

Steven Lawver scored 26 points to power ACGC past Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Morris. The Falcons won 59-54.

Lawver added a team-high six rebounds while the Falcons kept any Tiger from having a breakout night. Camden Arndt led Morris/C-A with 14 points and Jackson Loge added 13.
