Three UMN Morris tennis student-athletes were honored with postseason plaudits as announced by the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tuesday.

For the UM-Morris women's tennis program, Maddie Johnson and Sam Tate were named First Team All-UMAC. Along with her First Team All-UMAC honor, Johnson also received the Sportsmanship Award for the Cougars.

For the Cougar men's tennis team, Gannon Youakim was tabbed with the Sportsmanship Award for UMN Morris.

Johnson, a sophomore, was 4-6 at No. 1 singles in 2019, which included a record of 3-3 in conference play. In doubles play, Johnson was 7-4 overall and 4-2 in UMAC action. She closed out the year winning her last three doubles matches.

Tate, a sophomore, went 7-4 overall in singles play, which included a record of 6-1 in UMAC competitions. In doubles play this year, Tate went 6-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

Youakim, a senior for the men's program, finished out the 2019 season with a singles record of 4-6 and a doubles record of 3-7.
