The University of Minnesota Morris women's tennis team (1-1) picked up a 9-0 win over Crown (0-4) on Saturday, March 2, in Fridley.

In singles play, Maddie Johnson topped Sierra Allison (6-0, 6-1), Kate Obright defeated Lauren Sporleder (6-1, 6-0), Sam Tate bested Abby Engrav (6-1, 6-2), Mackenzie Burris defeated Nahomie Konzi (6-2, 6-0), while Katie Auger and Hannah Godzala both swept Marina Ortiz and Abby Yates (6-0, 6-0), respectively.

In doubles play, Johnson/Obright topped Allison/Engrav (8-0), Tate/Burris defeated Sporleder/Konzi (8-3) and Auger/Godzala bested Emily Eischens/Ortiz (8-0).

The Cougars are back in action on Friday, March 8, against St. Kate's in St. Paul, Minnesota. The match gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
