The Minnesota Morris men's cross country program received recognition for its work in the classroom. The Cougars were named as one of the 2018 U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country All-Academic teams announced Thursday, Feb. 14.


For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, there were 393 teams honored by the USTFCCCA, of which 178 were men's teams.


The Cougar men recorded a team GPA of 3.13 during the fall of 2018. At the NCAA Division III Central Regional meet, Minnesota Morris finished 21st with a score of 625 points.
