The Section 4 9-man all-section team was announced Tuesday, Nov. 13 and two Hancock Owl football players earned spots on the list: Montana Molden and Harrison Zeltwanger.

Molden ended the season with 42 tackles, six tackles for loss and a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

A week after earning Lineman of the Year by the District 9-West South, Zeltwanger earned all-section nod. He closed out his final season in an Owl uniform with 73 tackles, seven tackles for loss, a team high four sacks, and a defensive touchdown. He combined with Molden and Peyton Rohloff to form an offensive line that helped Hancock rush over 1,800 yards this season.

The trio was also impressive on the defensive line, Hancock head coach Chad Christianson said.

“Our entire d-line did a phenomenal job upfront,” Christianson said of the 2018 captains. “They didn’t finish with a lot of tackles, only a few tackles for loss and a couple sacks, but they were getting double teamed by almost everyone we played, which allowed our linebackers to play free and make plays for us.”

The Owls went 6-4 overall and graduate seven seniors: Molden, Zeltwanger, Rohloff, Cole and Connor Reese, Bennett Nienhaus and Tory Schmidgall.
