The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament champion Minnesota Morris volleyball team had three repeat performers named to the UMAC Volleyball All-Conference squad announced Monday, Nov. 5.

For the third time, junior setter Layne Herrmann garnered All-UMAC First Team nods. The Glencoe-Silver Lake product became the Cougars' all-time assists leader during Saturday's UMAC championship victory at Northwestern. Herrmann has totaled 3,371 career assists. She surpassed Beth Ploof's total of 3,364 which she set in 1993. Herrmann was third in the conference in total assists this season with 1,057 (9.61/set) and ranked first in total service aces with 55.

Senior Rachel Mathias earned All-UMAC Second Team honors a year after receiving All-UMAC Honorable Mention nods. The Heron Lake native led the conference in hitting percentage (.337) and led the Cougars in kills (300) and kills per set (2.59).

All-UMAC Second Team performer Morgan Miller receives her third all-conference mention. She was a First Team member a season ago and an Honorable Mention player in 2016. The Ada-Borup product has been a major presence in the Cougar defense in her three seasons. She led the conference in total blocks for the second straight season (123).
