The Minnesota Morris women's golf team started off a busy week Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Northwestern Invitational at Gross National Golf Club in Minneapolis. In the five-team invite, the Cougars placed second with a team score of 392, four strokes behind Bethany Lutheran.
Leading the way for the Cougars was senior Meghan Foley. She shot a fourth place round of 93. Also finishing in the top ten for the Cougars was Kaya Quinn who carded a seventh place score of 97 and Skylar Tumbleson who tied for ninth place with a round of 100.
Trinity Erickson (102, tie for 12th) and Brynn Combs (111, 19th) rounded out the Cougar field.
Orion Collins was the lone men's golfer to compete for the Cougars. His score of 83 was good for a tie for 22nd place.
The Cougars are back on the course Thursday, Sept. 27 when they host the postponed Cougar Invitational at Pomme de Terre Golf Club in Morris.
