Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta's Noah Stewart took second place in the Division 4 race at the Milaca Mega Meet Saturday, Sept. 22, in Milaca. Math and Science Academy's Harris Anderson took first, but Stewart followed just 15.5 seconds behind for a strong finish. He helped guide the Tigers to a sixth-place team finish.

Morris/C-A girls took eighth place while Math and Science Academy's Tierney Wolfgram won the girls race by more than 90 seconds.

On Monday, Sept. 24, the Tigers participated in the Ortonville Invitational. No team scores were provided, but MACA had plenty of strong individual performances proved by 16 new season bests.

Noah Stewart and Maddie Carrington took first place in their respective races. Stewart was near the 15-minute mark for the first time this season with a 15:07 finish, improving his season best by over 75 seconds.

Both Maddie and Meredith Carrington and Kaylie Raths finished under the 20-minute threshold for the first time this season. Maddie Carrington nearly broke the 18-minute mark with an 18:01 finish, improving her new season best by over two minutes. Meredith Carrington finished in fourth overall with a time of 19:15, and Kaylie Raths clocked a season best 19:57, over three minutes better than her previous season best.

Solomon Johnson broke the 16-minute threshold with a new season best 15:46, good for third place at Ortonville.

The Tigers next compete Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Sauk Centre.
