Every single Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta varsity runner improved their season best time at the Little Crow Invitational Thursday, Sept. 13, in Spicer. That’s 14 new season bests and nearly 10 minutes (9.887) cut in total.

Stewart took fourth overall in the boys race with a time of 16:25.7, a new season best by nearly 25 seconds. The MACA boys took 10th in the 19-team invite.

Colton Wohlers and Micah Aanerud both cut over a minute in the race. Wohlers finished in 20:00.3, a new season best by 1:42.9, and Aanerud finished in 20:34.8, which bested his previous mark by 1:28.1. Jacob Boots broke the 20-minute threshold, dropped 35.1 seconds to finish in 19:33.

The MACA girls took third overall in the 15-team invite and were led by a fifth place finish by Maddie Carrington. She clocked a new season best time of 20:13.9, which was over a 40-second drop from her previous season best.

Malory Anderson and Katya Lackey also had large time drops. Anderson cut 1:05 from her previous season best to finish in 22:40.5 and Lackey finished in 23:10.3, which bested her previous mark by 1:38.6. Kaylie Raths cut 48.7 seconds to finish in 23:11.8.

The Tigers have a full week to prepare for their next meet, the Milaca Mega Meet, Saturday, Sept. 22, in Milaca.
