Noah Stewart took first place in his third straight cross country meet on Monday, Sept. 10, at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. Stewart clocked a 17:19.7 and led the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger boys cross country team to a third place finish in the 12-team invite.

Three Tiger boys improved their varsity times at the LP-GE meet. Thomas Tiernan broke the 20-minute mark for the first time this season with a 19:59.4, which beats his previous season best by over half a minute. Jared Boots cut over 15 seconds with a new personal best 20:08.1, and Micah Aanerud dropped six seconds and finished with a 22:02.9.

Maddie (21:35.9) and Meredith Carrington (22:13.8) both finished in the top five for MACA girls cross country team that finished in second place in the 10-team invite. Others contributing to the team score included: Crystal Nohl (24:02.1), Malory Anderson (24:04.7), and Kaylie Raths (24:18.2).

The Tigers next compete at the Little Crow Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 13, at New London-Spicer.
