Coaching changes for MACA

According to the 2018-2019 all-activities kick-off letter that was sent to all Morris Area and Chokio-Alberta High School students, their parents and the media, Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta athletics will have two new coaches for the fall of 2018.

In the letter, Caleb Greene is listed as the head coach for volleyball for the 2018 season. Former head coach Kristi Fehr stepped down in late April, Morris Area athletic director Mark Ekren said in an email response to the Stevens County Times. Fehr was head coach of the Tiger volleyball program for five years.

Britney House was listed as the new head coach of girls tennis and was hired in late May, Ekren said. Former coach Bennett Lerud resigned from the position this past winter after two seasons as head coach.

The resignation of Fehr and hiring of Greene and House are all pending board approval, and Ekren hopes to get the coaching adjustments finalized at the July school board meeting.
