William Blaisdell, fondly referred to as “Dr. Bill”, passed through death to meet his Lord on June 2nd, 2021.

Bill was born in Jamestown, NY on May 06, 1929, the son of Dr. Harold Blaisdell and Florence Phillips Blaisdell. He volunteered to serve in the Korean War and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Blaisdell Smith, by sons Stephen and Mark Blaisdell, and by his first wife, Virginia Bush Blaisdell.

Bill is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Ann Marie Dunning Blaisdell; a daughter, Susan (Richard) Blaisdell Scriven; sons, Robert Shelby (Julia) Blaisdell, Matthew (Jimcy Platholi) Blaisdell and David (Sun Kyung Park) Blaisdell; step-sons, Steven (Deborah) Darling, Jeffrey (Peggy) Darling, and Daniel Darling; and a sister, Cynthia (Ephrem) Blaisdell Gelfman. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bill was blessed by friends in his church family at Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach, Florida; at Jamestown General Hospital and WCA Hospital in Jamestown; at Stevens Community Hospital in Morris, Minnesota; and within other communities in the U.S. and abroad, where he performed surgery and served in medical mission programs.

In lieu of memorials, Bill requested that all consider accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The reward will be strength and hope for the future during the inevitable trials and heartaches in this life, as well as eternity in the presence of God.
