Reginald “Reg” Power

Reginald “Reg” Power was born on April 12, 1925 in Pembina, North Dakota the son of Ernest and Alice (Bernell) Power. He grew up in Roseland, near Willmar Minnesota. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Army Air Force where he honorably served his country from July 1943 – March 1946.

Upon returning home he finished his education at the West Central School of Agriculture, where he met his sweetheart of 72 years, Marceille “Babe” Baldry. The couple was married on September 18, 1948 in Dumont, Minnesota. Reg and Babe raised their family in Morris, MN where he worked for the Star Tribune as a Sales and Circulation Manager.

Throughout his life Reg enjoyed running, he ran 5K and 10K races well into he’s 70s. He enjoyed golfing, biking, and both cross country and downhill skiing. As a couple they loved to dance anyplace they could catch a band. They also biked together through almost every State Park in Minnesota.

Reg died on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his home on Lake Miltona with family by his side. He is survived by his wife, Marceille “Babe”, children: Lynette Power, James (Cheri) Power, Jon (Donna) Power, Kristi (Tim) Healy, Bobbi Charles, Thomas Biesanz; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary, Vu Power, his parents, two brothers and one sister.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family would like memorials to be donated to your favorite charity in Reg’s name.

Reg will be buried at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
