Margie Ann Pederson passed away on December 28, 2020, having been diagnosed with COVID-19 the day before her 95th birthday.

She was born on December 22, 1925 to Robert and Amelia Ross and lived most of her life in Morris, Minnesota with her husband of 66 years, David, who passed away in 2018.

Margie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Jane (Mark Freiberg) Pederson; grandchildren, David, John and Erika Freiberg; nieces and nephews, including Deb (Steve) Rose, Laurie (Mike) McBride, Pam (Lowell) Uhden, Keven Ross; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Jim) Aanerud.

Margie was unwavering in her loving support and encouragement for her daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed being an active part of their lives. Prior to retirement in 1993, she worked for almost 50 years at the Morris State Bank starting as a teller and working her way to Assistant Vice President. She took pride in her career at the bank and enjoyed long-standing friendships with her colleagues – well after she and David moved to live closer to her daughter’s family. Margie appreciated a clean house, neatly ironed clothing and trying new recipes, especially those prepared by her grandchildren. Margie was thankful for the care and support she received after her husband’s passing, therefore, please consider a memorial to any organization that serves older adults or an organization that supports first responders, essential workers or those caring for individuals at risk for or battling COVID-19.

Private graveside service and a virtual celebration of life were held: a recording is available at Christ-church-woodbury.org.
