Leslie John Cin was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Sunday September 26, 2021. Les was born May 2, 1928 in Morris, Minnesota to August and Lydia (Ernst) Cin and grew up on the farm. Leslie and Lyla Christiansen were united in marriage, January 23, 1953. The two were partners in all they did, from farming to actively participating in the community and church. They raised six children (Lorayne, Loren, Donavon, Myrna, Jennifer, and Melody).
Most who knew Les would agree he was fun loving and hard working. But most of all, he had an effortless ability to share his kind spiritual testimony with others in leading a Christian life. Les and his wife, Lyla, opened their home to many over the years. The coffee pot was always on.
He faithfully served his church at the Alberta Church of the Nazarene on many different levels from youth group leader to board member helping so many to come to know the Lord. He later became active with the Gideons, delivering bibles to those in need including visits to penitentiaries. In the community, he was well-known and over the years remained very active often visiting so many.
Les was always game for fun. So many stories can be told of these episodes bringing so much laughter and joy. Les got his first Harley when he was in his early 20’s and never lost the love of riding up until the day he passed.
