Earl Adolphson

Memorial services for Earl Adolphson will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Pastor Erik Rundquist will preside over the service.

Earl Wayne Adolphson was born in Chokio, Minnesota on March 9, 1934 to George and Frieda (Kruse) Adolphson. The youngest of seven children, he grew up attending school in Chokio, MN, graduating High School in 1952.

Farming was Earl’s life. He raised hogs and grain farmed, mainly corn and soybean. He started farming with his father while in school and purchased the farm from his father after he and Pat were married. 

Earl was thrifty. He will long be remembered for the “$5” checks on birthdays. They were sent to each child, spouse, grandchild with a thoughtful card. The annual event won’t be the same without him. Earl was a quiet person but when wanted to know something, he said “So I have a question?”. 

Earl passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home in Everglade Township, Stevens County, near Chokio, Minnesota.  He was 87 years old. 

He is survived by his daughters: Diane (Rick) Imberg, Leann (Jerry) Bright, his sons: Gregg (Cassie) Adolphson, Scott Adolphson, Bruce (P.J.) Adolphson; his sister: Margie Olson; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents: George and Freda Adolphson; his sisters: Georgia Brandt, Arline Mattson, Jeanette Pedersen, Laverne Williams and Dorothy Young; Mother of his five children: Patricia Lea (Eger) Adolphson.
