Dorance Scott of of the Morris area passed away January 20, 2021.
Dorance was born June 15, 1955 and raised in the Mankato MN area. He has lived in many places over the years including Santa Rosa, Ca, and Anchorage, AK. In 2015 he moved to the Morris, MN area. He worked with his brother and sister-in-law at Hometown Flooring & Blinds in Hancock, MN until his retirement in 2018. He was a pivotal part in getting the business started.
During his time in the Morris Area, he became involved in the community. He was a past member of the Hancock Lions, Morris Area Chamber board, and other groups.
He is survived by his Ex-wife/good friend Dianna Scott, two sons Cody and Travis, Three sisters Mona Scott, Nancy (Bruce) Milkie, Sharon (Hector) Gonzalez, Brother Troy (Heather) Scott. Many Nieces and Nephews, and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Gary & Joyce Scott and grandparents.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Old No. 1 Southside in Morris, MN.
