Dean Loren Schmidgall, who was born on November 14, 1963, passed from this life on June 14, 2021, at the age of 57 years, 7 months.  Dean was the 8th child of 14 children born to Howard and Donna (Dosdall) Schmidgall.  He grew up in Hancock, Minnesota, where he attended school and graduated from Hancock High School in 1982.

Growing up, Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, brothers, and friends; and as an adult, he made a few trips back to Minnesota for brief hunting or fishing outings.  He was known by his friends and family for his sense of humor and his ability to make others laugh. Those closest to Dean will remember him for his compassionate and giving nature.
