Dale Bruns

There will be a visitation for Dale Bruns of Morris, Minnesota, on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, Minnesota.  A private family burial will take place at Summit Cemetery in Morris. 

Dale Frederick Bruns, son of Fred and Gladys (Towner) Bruns was born May 7, 1932 in the family home in Swan Lake Township in Stevens County, Minnesota. Dale attended grade school at District #33 and went on to graduate from West Central School of Agriculture in Morris. Following his graduation, he started farming with his dad and brother, Paul. Dale farmed his entire life while living in Morris.

Dale was an avid bowler, receiving many awards and trophies over the years. He loved watching baseball and football games. He especially enjoyed duck and pheasant hunting and each fall, Dale looked forward to deer hunting with his brother and his nephews and great-nephews, until his health prevented him from doing so.

Dale passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, with Jerry and Kathy by his side at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, Minnesota.  He lived to over 89 years.

He is survived by one sister, Ruth Reano of Des Moines, IA; nephews: Jerry (Kathy) Bruns of Donnelly, Bill (Teresa) Bruns of Solway, Mark Reano of Penngrove, CA and Brad (Terri) Reano of Oveida, FL; nieces: Sheila (Keith) Kaehler of Morris and Wanda Ross of Winnipeg, Manitoba along with numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Dale was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Gladys Bruns; his brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Joan Bruns; brother-in-law: Richard Reano; two nieces: JoDee Rogers and Mary Lee Reano and nephew: Mike Reano.
