Weather news: Crops are looking good thanks to some sunny warm weather along with a few showers during the past week.
There are joint services at 9:30 a.m. on the 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays of the month at Kongsvinger and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at St. John's. Each service is followed by a coffee hour at both churches.
The Kongsvinger Krusaders are participating in the Relay for Life at the Lee Community Center in Morris again this year on July 12 starting at 5 p.m. with a meal followed by opening ceremonies at 6 p.m.
Nominations are now open for candidates for threshing bee royalty (for Little Miss ages 8-10, Queen ages 16-18. Contact Sandy Dunn 246-3292 for more information. Deadline is July 7.
An open house bridal shower for Jenna Niemann, bride-to-be of Justin Stallman of Donnelly, will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Kongsvinger Parish Hall.
Donnelly City Council meets today (Saturday) at 4 p.m. at city hall.
The Donnelly Fire Department meets at 7 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the fire hall.
The Donnelly Community Club meets at 7 p.m. Monday, July 8, at community hall.
The Donnelly Coop is Celebrating 100 years in business on Wednesday, July 10, Starting with a lunch at 4 p.m. at its new shed in Donnelly.
Herman Red Hats will meet at 11 a.m. on Friday July 19, at the Grant County Fair 4 H stand for lunch.
