Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly News. I want to wish my mother a happy Mother's Day up in Heaven

The past week has been mostly sunny and cool, seen a few fields worked up in the area and a former neighbor doing some planting, however as I am writing this on Wednesday afternoon, it has been raining most of the day.

Joint services at 9:30 a.m., on May 12 at St. John's followed by coffee hour and on May 19 at Kongsvinger followed by a graduation reception in the parish hall. May 19 is baccalaureate Sunday.

If anybody has a high school or higher education graduate, let the parish office know as soon as possible. We have two high school graduates from Kongsvinger this year. I will have my annual graduation recognition issue sometime in the next month, so please let me know if you have any graduates.

Donnelly Youth Club meets from 4 to 6 p.m. on May 15 at St. John's

Donnelly Fire Department meets at the fire hall at 7 p.m. May 13.

The Donnelly Community Club meets at 7 pm. May 13 at city hall.

Doug Wilts of the Chokio/Donnelly area passed away on May 3.

Patty Stahn of Chokio passed away on May 2. Local survivors include her husband former Donnelly area resident Art Stahn.

Former Donnelly area resident Marie Jean Smith Farmer of Franklin, Kentuckey passed away on April 30.
