Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly News.

After a warm, sunny week last week temperatures have cooled off this week and we have had some light rain the past few days. Have read or heard of a few fields being planted including out at the experiment station here in Morris, but so far have not seen anybody in the fields around here.

Joint services at 9:30 a.m. on May 5 at Kongsvinger with first communion followed by coffee hour and Sunday school. This is also cradle roll and adopted grandparent Sunday and the last day of Sunday school. Services are also 9:30 a.m. on May 12 at St John's followed by coffee hour.

Baccalaureate Sunday is May 19. If anybody has a high school or higher education graduate , please let the parish office know as soon as possible. I will also have my annual graduation recognition column sometime in the next month, so let me know if you have any graduates this year.

On May 6 Herman Red Hats will meet at 9 a.m. at AJ's. in Herman.

The Bookmobile will be in town on main street from 3:45-4 p.m. on May 6.

The Rendsville 4-h meeting scheduled for May 6 has been postponed.

The Donnelly Fire Department meets at 7 p.m. May 13 at the fire hall.

The Donnelly Community club meets at 7 p.m May 13 at city hall.

Brad Heil of Morris passed away on April 27. Local survivors include his daughter Ann (Brian) Erdahl of Morris. He is a former Donnelly area resident

Former Donnelly area resident Roger Recker of Morris passed away on April 28.
