Morris chamber seeks part-time administrative director
The Morris Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a part-time administrative director after the resignation of administrative director Carolyn Peterson on April 15, a chamber official said.
Summer Anderson, a chamber board member, said an administrative director will handle administrative operations but also marketing and promotion. The position will be for 25 hours a week.
Previously, the chamber had a part-time administrative director and a part-time marketing director, Andrea Koehntop. Koehntop resigned to take a full-time job in February.
Anderson said the deadline for applications for the administrative director is May 6. The chamber office has been staffed by former chamber director Rhoda Smith who left the chamber in October 2014 but started in an interim role in March along with Sashya Larson who started in an interim role in February.
"The chamber's priority is to provide support and resources to promote Morris area businesses," Anderson said in response to a Stevens County Times question about chamber priorities for the coming year.
