Minn. man dies when pinned by farm implements

PAYNESVILLE, Minn. – A 42-year-old Belgrade man died when pinned by two pieces of farm implements Friday afternoon, April 19, in Lake Henry Township north of Paynesville.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, James Logan was pronounced dead at the scene after life-saving efforts proved unsuccessful.

Ryan Klassen, 31, found Logan pinned and unresponsive between a backhoe bucket and a utility trailer around 3:30 p.m. Friday at a location in Lake Henry Township.

The Sheriff’s office was assisted by Lake Henry Fire and Rescue, Paynesville Ambulance and Life Link Hospital. The incident remains under investigation by Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
