Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly News.
After a few months off, winter has returned with bitterly cold temps, and officially about 8 inches of snow on Dec. 27 and 28. Some areas especially in country got about twice that amount. We had more snow/stormy weather on Monday. Temperatures were supposed to warm up later this week.
At 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 6 there will be joint services at Kongsvinger and on Jan. 13 at St. John's followed by coffee hour and Sunday school.
Annual meetings are Jan. 20 at Kongsvinger and the 27th at St. John's.
The 2018 KMRS broadcast dates are Jan. 27, April 28, July 7, Sept. 15, and Dec.15. Contact the parish office for more information. .
The Bookmobile will be in town from 3:45 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 14 on Main Street
The Donnelly City Council meets today (Saturday) at 4 p.m. at city hall.
Rendsville 4-h meets at 7 p.m. on Jan. 7 at St. John's.
The Donnelly Rod and Gun Club's annual ice fishing tournament is Jan. 19 at the Pomme de Terre public access north of Morris starting with registration at 9 a.m. For more information or to purchase raffle tickets talk, to Craig Awsumb.
Former Donnelly area resident Lillian Heinrich of Morris passed away on Dec. 30. She was my neighbor for many years.
