“Welcome Back” is a very fitting theme for the Hancock July Fourth celebration which is planned for Saturday, July 3rd this year. The theme was selected as the community welcomes back family get togethers, visiting with friends and just participating with others in activities on a large scale. The community will also be welcoming back all of the regular events held for the celebration.
Everyone is invited to get up for the Firemen Pancake feed held from 7 – 9:30 a.m. Also starting at 7:30 am. is registration for the 5K run with the race starting at 8 a.m.
The Hancock Little League All-Star game will start at 10 a.m. at the Little League field. Close next door, the Community Development Bank coin dig will be held at the school park at 11 a.m.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then following the parade, there will be inflatables at the Water Tower Park. Food stands will also be set up there starting at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. or until food runs out. The inflatables are sponsored by the Hancock Commercial Club.
The Kiddie Parade starting at 1 p.m. will line up at the Water Tower Park at 12:30. The regular parade will start at 1:30 p.m. with line up at the school. For the Kiddie Parade, just simply line up at the park.
Following the parade, the tractor pull will start at 3 p.m. across from Trico. Buddies will have Kim Wolf DJ and Karaoke that evening. The annual fireworks will start at dusk at the Hancock varsity baseball field.
The Hancock Lions Club invites you to “dust off your decorations” and make this the biggest “welcome back” celebration ever.
