The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the area from 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, through 10 a.m., Friday, April 12.
The storm is could drop about 20 inches of snow in the area before it's done on Friday morning. Several inches of snow are predicted for Wednesday and Wednesday night with nighttime wind gusts of more than 35 mph.
The weather worsens on Thursday, April 11, with up to eight inches of snow and wind gusts of more than 50 mph during the day and up to five more inches of snow with wind gusts of 40 mph during the night.
Another one to three inches is predicted for Friday, April 12, with wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph possible in the morning. The snow will end in the afternoon but wind gusts will increase to 40 mph in the afternoon.
High temperatures of 36 were predicted for Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14.
