The Morris City Council welcomed two new employees at their meeting on December 14. New Morris Police Officer Korbin Kells was sworn into office and Trygg Sponheim was introduced as a new GreenCorps Service Member.
City Attorney Aaron Jordan administered the Oath of Office to Kell after he was introduced by Police Chief Reggie Welle. Welle explained that Kell grew up in Appleton and has been working part-time as an officer in that area. He added that Kell will fill the final opening in the department while continuing to work part-time in the Appleton area.
Sponheim was present at the meeting as the new GreenCorps Service member. He will be working with Sydney Bauer on the compost initiative. He is from Shoreview, Mn and attended college at the University of Minnesota Morris from 2017-2021. He is pleased to be back in Morris after graduating in the spring.
