Deputy, assistant attorney join county

A new deputy and new assistant county attorney were sworn in at the May 7 Stevens County Commissioners meeting.

Kyle Zierke is the new deputy.

"He grew up in the Hancock area," sheriff Jason Dingman said. "We are pleased to have him here."

Allison Whalen is the new assistant county attorney. She was the assistant county attorney in Swift County before she joined Stevens County.

Whalen will be paid a $72,425.60 annual salary while Zierke will be paid $46,300.80 annually.
