Morris Area school board seeks input for superintendent search
The Morris Area Board of Education is seeking input from the public, district staff and parents as it searches for a new superintendent.
Superintendent Rick Lahn will retire on June 30.
A news release from the school board said the information received from the public, staff and parents will be used to shape the interview questions for candidates.
The school board will have paper and online surveys for the public, district staff and parents to complete.
To use the online survey, use the district's website at www.morris.k12.mn.us). Go to the District tab, and it's the first link on the drop down titled "Superintendent Search." The online survey is available for staff, parents, and community members from Feb. 5 to Feb. 19.
Paper copies are available in the district office.
The school board set listening sessions for 9 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Common Cup and at 3 p.m. Stone's Throw Cafe on the same day. Another session is set for 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Morris Area Elementary Media Center.
The deadline for candidates to apply for superintendent is March 26.
