Non-life threatening injury in car, semi crash., State Patrol says

A 2006 Peterbilt semi and a 2003 Grand Am were involved in a crash at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday, Jan, 23, U.S. Highway 59 about seven miles south of Barrett in Grant County, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The Grand Am driven by Aiden Jon Winter, 19, of Hoffman, was southbound when it crossed the center line and the car and the southbound Peterbilt driven by Mark Alan Brede, 61, of Carlos, struck on the drivers sides, the State Patrol said. The semi went off the road into the east ditch and the car came to a stop on the southbound shoulder, the State Patrol said.

Winter was transported to Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.
