The Stevens County Times had its own snow problems this week.

A heavy snow load on the roof caused water to leak into one small section of the newspaper office at 607 Pacific Ave.

Contractors have been busy removing snow from roofs and continuing to move snow after this past weekend's heavy snow.

In a contrast to worries about the snow, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday evening. The NWS said snowmelt and rainfall may result in flooding in poor drainage areas. A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. Clear the snow and ice away from your storm drains before Wednesday, March 13. The public should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
