The wet heavy, snow of Saturday, March 9, was apparently too much for a hay shed on the Mark and Pat Smith farm about two miles southwest of Donnelly.

Mark Smith said the 40 by 60-foot shed contained hay and straw and housed goats. Smith said he looked outside just before dark on March 9 and saw the collapsed shed. The goats were moved to another building. They had left the shed before it collapsed, Smith said. The hay and straw were in the shed as of late on the afternoon of March 11 and wouldn't be removed and covered until a contractor can move the damaged building, Smith said.

Smith said a contractor was expected to clean up the damaged shed on March 12. The contractor had been busy doing similar work for other people in the area, Smith said.
