The snow alert for the city of Morris for Feb. 21 has been canceled.

It is unlawful for any person, except physicians on emergency calls or drivers of emergency vehicles, to park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any street within the city for the duration of the snow alert, according to city ordinance.

Morris Public Works Director Jim Dittbenner says the crew will plow city streets one more time, but then will start plowing again at 2 a.m. Thursday.

Dittbenner asks that residents on the east side of Morris wait until Thursday morning to put their garbage cans out and do not put the garbage cans in the street.
