'Compass' to highlight UMM, Morris energy work

The Aug. 2 edition of Pioneer Public Television's public affairs program "Compass" will explore how the city of Morris and the University of Minnesota, Morris are working together on initiatives to bring about a "greener environment" in this western Minnesota community. The Aug. 2 broadcast starts at 9 p.m.. The program will be rebroadcast at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5,. and viewable online at after the original airing.

University of Minnesota, Morris Sustainability Director Troy Goodnough and Morris City Manager Blaine Hill are interviewed by Pioneer General Manager Les Heen about their joint venture to reduce carbon emissions, encourage alternative forms of energy and take a leadership role in energy conservation in greater Minnesota.
